Nameless Here For Evermore
Solo Exhibition
Third Street Gallery and Magician Space are delighted to present Nameless here for evermore, a solo exhibition by artist Li Li Ren. The exhibition title refers to Edgar Allan Poe’s poem “The Raven”, which concludes with the nameless raven becoming a symbol for loss and eternity—both the embodiment of a ghostly presence and the fragment of human consciousness that returns nevermore. Departing from this, Ren unfolds a cyclical rehearsal of memory and oblivion, of time and entropy increase.
All the problems today are presumed to be solved through language
and every impasse, is arrogated to “incommunicability.”
In the world (of language) today,
meanings amplify,
chaotic masses though they may be, are encoded for future generations, for the post-human.
